The Movie Database (TMDB)

This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

TheSportsDB

Sports data provided by TheSportsDB. League, club, team, broadcaster and competition marks remain the property of their owners. API availability is not proof of commercial reuse rights.

Licence-gated features

OMDb content is advertised under CC BY-NC 4.0 and must remain disabled in commercial builds without suitable written permission. TheSportsDB requires a paid entitlement for Store publication. Evidence must be retained before activation.

YouTube and technical services

Trailers open only in the official YouTube app/site; Mango does not extract, download or rehost YouTube media. Firebase Cloud Messaging, Sentry/GlitchTip, OpenAI, Apple and Google may support enabled technical functions.

Open-source players and codecs

Mango Player uses media_kit (MIT) and, depending on the platform, distributes mpv/libmpv, FFmpeg and libVLC (LGPL 2.1) components. Android sideload builds also distribute Jellyfin’s Media3 FFmpeg decoder, published under GPL 3.0; Google Play mobile and TV variants exclude it. The effective mpv/FFmpeg licence depends on the exact binary’s build options and linked libraries. Applicable licence texts, corresponding source, build configuration and replacement/relink information must accompany each distribution; this notice alone does not certify a build.

Country flags

Flags are loaded from FlagCDN, a Flagpedia service. Flagpedia states that flag images are in the public domain; other materials remain subject to its terms and privacy policy. A network request necessarily exposes the IP address to the service.

DNS and connectivity

System DNS is the default. Optional encrypted DNS follows the official privacy policies of Cloudflare, Google Public DNS or Quad9. Android TV relies on the network state validated by Android and no longer sends a dedicated connectivity request to Microsoft.

Website and email

The public website loads Google Fonts and GSAP through cdnjs/Cloudflare. Mango emails no longer load Simple Icons brand logos or third-party remote fonts; they may still load the Mango logo from mangoplayer.app.

Posters, artwork, marks and logos remain subject to owner rights. Attribution is not a licence.
